I operate Prodzen.dev, a tech newsletter. I am registered as a sole proprietorship (OSVČ) in the Czech Republic.

Your data is primarily stored and processed within the European Union (Germany). I have specifically chosen EU-based infrastructure to protect your data under GDPR.

I use Hetzner infrastructure located in Nuremberg, Germany. Hetzner acts as my data processor under their Data Processing Agreement, ensuring your data remains protected. Your data does not leave the EU.

Data Processors

I use the following service providers who process data on my behalf:

Hetzner Online GmbH

Purpose: Hosting the newsletter list (application and database hosting)
Location: Nuremberg, Germany
They process data under their Data Processing Agreement

Postmark

Purpose: Email delivery service
They process data under their Data Processing Agreement

Security Measures

I use industry-standard security practices including:

HTTPS/SSL for my website
Secure password-protected access to my database
Regular software updates
Limited access to personal data

Data Retention

Active subscribers: I keep your data as long as you remain subscribed
After unsubscribing: Your personal data is deleted within 30 days
Anonymous statistics: May be retained indefinitely as they cannot identify you
Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., tax records for business correspondence)
